Welcome to a guided meditation for reflecting on self-compassion.
When you make a mistake, how do you respond? Do you criticize yourself, or do you show yourself compassion? A lot of us are not kind to ourselves. Negative self-talk has become a part of our daily routines as we continually tear ourselves down. We hold ourselves to high expectations. We are our worst critics when we donāt measure up. Oftentimes, we are quick to extend grace to others before we show it to ourselves. Our God is not like us. He is kind to us.
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:4-5
Reflection
Focus your attention on the breath.
Take a few deep breathes in through the nose.
And breathe out slowly through the mouth.
Release any unrealistic expectations you are putting on yourself today as you exhale.
Return your breath to your natural breathing pattern
Accepting God’s Kindness
God knows we are imperfect, yet He still loves us. His arms are open to receive us, flaws and all when we seek Him with all our hearts. Let us accept Godās kindness and be kind to ourselves. We are loved and cherished by Him.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
Psalms 63:3
