Welcome to an End Of The Week Meditation! The purpose of this meditation is to help us release, rest, and refocus. Thank you for choosing to meditate with me today.
I invite you to get into a comfortable position.
Take a deep breath in.
Breathe out slowly.
We have made it to the end of another week.
Let us take a moment to thank God.
He is so gracious and kind to us.
How Are You?
How are you feeling?
Did you have a good and productive week, or has it been full of many challenges?
Maybe this week has been a little bit of both.
Wherever you find yourself today, let us take some time to rest and refocus our minds on Jesus.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Rest In God
Resting in God is a spiritual practice expressed in the Bible. It is essential, and as we practice rest, God renews us from the inside out. While society pressures us into the daily grind, and there are seasons when busyness is inevitable, we have to find balance and prioritize rest.
God created rest for our benefit. He will work in us when we are still, silent, and present. Spending time in His presence is vital. We experience true rest when we commune with Him.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:29-30
In these verses, Jesus invites us to follow Him and learn from him. He is humble, gentle, and patient. Jesus will give us the strength to let go of things that weigh us down. As we release these burdens to Him, He gives us rest for our souls.
Take a moment to think about some things that are heavy on you today.
Surrender Your Burdens
When you are ready, surrender your burdens to Jesus. Receive His peace and rest. Jesus accepts us, imperfect as we are, and transforms us from the inside out. Let us come to Him daily for deliverance from temptations, from all of our cares, fears, and sufferings. The yoke He gives us is easy, and His burden is light.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
I pray the weekend will be restful.
