Meditation of the heart. What is the meditation of our hearts daily? This guided Christian meditation will help us explore this question and encourage us to meditate on scripture. I hope you enjoy it!
āLet the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14
Reflection
Do our words build up or tear down? Our words directly connect to the state of our hearts. What is our hearts meditation daily? Are we guarding our hearts against things that are not good for us?
At times, worldly things consume our minds and hearts, and it shows. We spend less time with God, which eventually affects our lives negatively. But, when we consistently meditate on heavenly things, we notice a positive change. We are more loving, kind, patient, gentle, and at peace.
āSet your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.ā
Colossians 3:2
For our good and God’s glory
It is for our good and the glory of God that we meditate on scripture. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to then live by His truth. We will not be perfect. But we will be willing to keep pressing on in Christ because we know our reward.
I want to encourage you to take some time to find a bible verse to meditate on this week. Try meditating on scripture all week. At the end of the week, take some time to reflect.Ā
Peace and calm
Letās end by tuning into the breath, letting each breath come naturally. Spend a few breaths allowing yourself to relax. Tune into the feeling of peace and calm that already exists because Jesus is here.
āOnly let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
Philippians 1:27
